Re:Coded’s Tech Entrepreneurship Academy Calls for Promising Iraqi Tech Entrepreneurs

10 startups will get full scholarships for Re:Coded Technology Entrepreneurship Academy program this September.

With full scholarships for up to 10 startups, Re:Coded Technology Entrepreneurship Academy in Baghdad currently runs a seven-week program designed to assist promising Iraqi entrepreneurs to create exciting new technology companies.

The Academy is open to all technology and technology-enabled startups, including apps, SAAS companies, marketplaces, and other technologies. The Academy accepts technologies at the following stages:

Idea Stage: They will accept companies at the idea stage (that is, before the development of a prototype or beta product) provided that the entrepreneurs have done some basic customer research or have unique insights into the field or market they wish to pursue.

Startup Stage with Beta: They will accept companies with an active Beta or prototype, even if the company has not entered the marketplace yet.

Trading Companies: They will accept companies that are currently trading, provided they have been trading for less than one year and have revenues of less than 12,000,000 Iraqi Dinar.

The Re:Coded Technology Entrepreneurship Academy in Baghdad is supported by the German Federal Government and implemented in cooperation with GIZ and in partnership with the Global Growth Hub. It is set with a vision to create innovative, socially-minded leaders of tomorrow in conflict-affected communities using technology and entrepreneurship.
