I have had the privilege of holding leadership roles across the media, entertainment and technology sectors, including SVP Sales and Marketing of Yahoo! Europe, CEO of Virgin Radio, CEO of GCap Media Plc and MD of ITV Plc. I have also served as an Independent Director on the Boards of Betfair Plc, Merlin Entertainments Plc and Channel 4 TV. In 2018 my family took a 6 months sabbatical in Roma, Italy, fell in love (with the country, the city, the culture and the coffee) and decided to stay forever! (magari!)  I embarked on a short diploma in Italian and in 2020 founded La Piazza Group, a modern media company  which creates communities of interest that are hyper relevant and focused on effecting social  change.

To date La Piazza Group has created:
Colory.it – a powerful combination of multi platform social media communities (3 million individuals reached so far) and a physical events and training programme that elevates the un- heard voices of non- white Italians and educates the white Italian public on minority and other diverse cultures existing in Italy.

Generazione Stem (GenS) – The first community whose purpose is the creation of a virtuous circle between female students, educational faculties and industry, allowing everyone to be informed and motivated to consciously choose their education, their careers and their futures. Launched last February Gen_S has already reached 1 million people and we are working together to construct a more free, fair and equal future for tomorrow’s Leonardos.
 
PiazzaTi – A skills-first matching platform that evaluates people based on what they can actually do.
While traditional job boards often replicate existing biases and AI systems can amplify them at scale, PiazzaTi leverages Explainable AI to detect and mitigate the signals that may lead to discrimination.

Named CBI’s Ist Woman in Media in 2005 – I am a regular speaker at events and dinners. I am a fanatical football fan, long term season ticket holder at Fulham FC (and now treacherously also at AS Roma) and have completed 9 marathons.
